When I used to make New Years resolutions, they were always low-key, making them achievable.

Now, pfft. Not even low-key. Who cares?

Perhaps we can expect a spike in EV sales.

Is that the post-thing that pokes through the hole? Bc maybe yes. The problem might have started with the hinge slipping out and making that post asymmetrical, missing the hole, and placing a burden on the whole thing. Might be time to spring for a new one, eh? Big bucks! 😂😂

I think the unpowered nature of the mower is what appealed. No loud, high-pitched petrol-engine noise, no trailing cable for an electric one. It just felt a little bit calm, with very low expectations. I like low expectations. 🙂

Last week, a neighbour who’s selling, GAVE me her push mower. Today I wanted to mow the lawn. That’s never happened to me before. So this morning I mowed! It was good fun. Ok, a crappy job, but I’ll get better at it & the grousemate said he’d snip the edges at some point. (I was happy, tho.)

T. rex took 40 years to reach full size, study finds Tyrannosaurus rex may have taken far longer to grow up than scientists once thought. By analyzing growth rings in fossilized leg bones from 17 tyrannosaur specimens and using new statistical methods, ...

That's because they coddle them too much now. Back in my day, it only took 20 years for T-Rexes to fully mature, because they had discipline. Spare the rod, spoil the terrible tyrant lizard.

I put the dishwasher on about once a blue moon, if there have been a lot of people here, and I don’t think I’ve ever put the press in there. So it’s not that. Maybe just age.

My garlic press is beginning to tear (!) and the hinge is becoming loose, so I wonder if people have a suggestion for a good replacement… Maybe this is still a good option. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Here in Melbourne, the current cost of petrol is $2.20 / litre (up from about $1.80 / litre). This equates to $US 5.80 / gallon. I believe we’ve always paid much more petrol than USians have.

I remember when they introduced an education tax for everybody, federally, but didn’t remove the Austudy burden. (I wish I could provide a link to the time when that happened, bc sometimes I doubt my memory. 1980s? Less than 1%?)

I honestly think its a massive reason climate breakdown is so bad. Instead of blaming the ogliarchs with names and addresses ppl shoulder the blame. Stop doing that. You can be aware of your footprint without taking that on.

Right? I love this shit. I’ve visited the dinosaur footprints at Broome, and the REALLY ancient fossils at Nilpena (Flinders Rangers). I just love it. 🖤

Stone flat at the beach showing a shape that sort of looks like a dinosaur footprint but, really, it would be near impossible to identify without a proper hunter’s eye.

I freaking love stones and their textures, but I will be restrained. This is an actual dinosaur footprint on the flats at #Inverloch3996. Luckily, I found an expert on the beach that day or I would never have found it. Would you have? #SundayPixStone

Exactly. What a deal. Give three years back and then you’re able to move on if you want. How is that not a good thing to bring back again? I’m sure it could be used in the sciences, medical fields, arts, maybe even (dog forbid) sports!
