I asked three times for that. In normal conditions I'd be annoyed, but in light of the situation on the ground, I fully understand if the journalist does not have my emails as a priority...

A couple of days ago I provided my views on the illegality of the attack at the Minab school for L'Orient Le Jour. It might be even more relevant today, unfortunately I have no access to the final publication: today.lorientlejour.com/article/1497...
Glad to kick-off tomorrow this great seminar series on international humanitarian law at the University of Turin. With Federica Favuzza, I'll present on recent developments in the occupation of Pa.lestine. Thanks to Andrea Spagnolo and Gustavo Minervini for the invitation.
Israel and the US are committing again an act of aggression against Iran. There is no possible legal basis whatsoever to justify this unlawful use of force.
I loved it too!
We mark today 4 years since Russia launched its full scale aggression against Ukraine. I remember the shock, the sense of impotence. The aggression and other international crimes committed must be punished. Victims deserve justice.
Alas it's in a series, so cover is beyond my control. But I'm inundated by emails from predatory journals in astronomy and physics now!
Proofs time! Almost done with my forthcoming book! 🤩
On my way to Valencia to attend a conference on Justice for Paləstine. I'll present on third states responsibility and the duty to prevent genocıde:

Dad news: just heard that Professor Paolo Picone passed away. A genious if I ever met one in our field, with wonderful articles on obligations erga omnes (unfortunately, mostly in Italian). Many will remember him for his harsh personality, but with me he has always been generous.
😍 Excited and relieved for having completed the manuscript for my forthcoming book on "Sufficient Gravity before the International Criminal Court" after seven (!) years of intense work. Now the baby is in the hands of Edward Elgar. It will be published in the first half of 2026!
Yesterday, the Norwegian newspaper Klassekampen has published an interview to me and Will Schabas on the ICJ advisory opinion on humanitarian aid to Gaza: klassekampen.no/artikkel/202...
Incredibly interesting ICJ advisory opinion on humanitarian aid to Gaza! A new blow to Israeli gov positions, and new material for people working on the law of occupation.
The entire Commentary is available at ihl-databases.icrc.org/en/ihl-treat..., my chapter at ihl-databases.icrc.org/en/ihl-treat...
The ICRC has published its fundamental Commentary to Geneva Convention IV, indispensable guidance on the protection of civilians. Grateful beyond words to Jean-Marie Henckaerts for the opportunity to contribute with a chapter on Art 54 (Judges an Public Officials). Links below
Ehm, not really. The Pre-Trial Chamber denied the possibility to appeal the decision etc...
Finally put my hands on my first edited collection! The project Justice for Atrocities: Dialogue and Encounters between Latin America and Europe is now over!
The release of the Israeli hostages is reason for immense happiness. I hope Palestinian hostages will be released too, and that the ceasefire will hold and turn into a peace with self-determination.
Great talk!
Happy to be quoted with esteemed colleagues in this article for Anadolu Agency, where I discuss international justice for Pal_estinians: www.aa.com.tr/en/africa/2-...
Great talk between Claus Kress and Gerry Simpson on the crime of aggression at LSE:
