Through our teacher-led Local History Hubs, we look forward to supporting schools to engage with this vital work thoughtfully and confidently.

Together, we aim to counter antisemitism and all forms of discrimination, and to encourage young audiences to stand up against hatred, prejudice and persecution of any kind.
Presentations are supported by visual materials to ensure they are engaging as well as rigorous, helping pupils connect personally with this history.
Talks are delivered by accredited volunteer speakers who share their own family stories. These sessions are age-appropriate, impactful and historically accurate.
At Local History Hub we are proud to be partnering with the Northern Holocaust Education Group to provide young people with the opportunity to learn from the life stories and experiences of victims of the Holocaust and Nazi persecution.

These hubs are being shaped gradually, with a focus on collaboration, listening to schools, and supporting practical classroom needs.
Each hub brings together teachers, heritage organisations, and community partners to support meaningful, place-based history rooted in local contexts.
Alongside this, we launched five new Local History Hubs:

We began the year exploring a developing partnership with @cwgc.bsky.social, looking at how schools can be supported to engage with local history and remembrance in thoughtful, curriculum-linked ways using local sites and stories.
January has been a strong and purposeful start to the year for Local History Hub.
