End is coming to NTAH but the other two wonβt be as they werenβt filmed for NT Live or NTAH.
Youβll have to pray thereβs a trilogy revival if you want to see all 3 together.
Join me on Mon 26 Jan for an exclusive post-show talk with the creative team, producers and cast, chaired by journalist Mark Lawson. The talk will explore the creative process behind adapting John le CarrΓ©βs inimitable novels for stage and screen π΅οΈββοΈπ₯Άπ

A bittersweet day when End ends and so does a decade long collaboration with @nationaltheatre
What a pleasure and privilege itβs been to make this work.

6 shows leftβ¦ No plans at all at present for a transferβ¦ Who knows if an English management will ever produce the trilogyβ¦ So folks donβt assume youβll get another chance to see the showβ¦ Sometimes End means endβ¦ #end #ntend @nationaltheatre.org.uk until 17 January π· Marc Brenner

End by David Eldridge at the NT. Go and see it if you can. Moving and funny. Great performances from Saskia Reeves and Clive Owen.
The journey must end⦠with a new beginning.

Caught up with #thespywhocameinfromthecold at Soho Place and our wonderful company. I really relished it. To get close to the genius of John le CarrΓ©, his sense of story, of drama, of style, his quirks as a writer, his obsessions, his wit is a great privilege. Come see us ππ΅οΈββοΈπ₯Άππ»

Itβs not touring but will be on NT at Home later in the spring.
I really loved doing this interview for Exeunt on adapting Spy and writing with the excellent Frey Kwa Hawking @exeuntmagazine.bsky.social

The Spy Who Came in from the Cold is *the* Cold War novel. I read it as a kid and it knocked me sideways.
But that was long ago. With a stage version in the West End and a TV version pending, what does it mean now? Thoughts for @newstatesman1913.bsky.social

Knocked out by David Eldridge's End at the Dorfman Theatre. We went in knowing nothing about it and realised we were basically watching a play about ourselves and people we know: the music, the memories, the locations. For people of a certain generation who would like to cry during You Got the Love.
I was delighted to be asked by @mogster.bsky.social to contribute to this wonderful, inspiring series. Here's my honest - and honestly positive! -description of what writing days are like.
