Wow
#boston @wutrain.bsky.social build it and they will come. Protected lanes will even attract ppl who are scared of biking. Build them for our accessibility challenged folks...build them for our kids, for our environment, to save the average person money, and to increase city revenue to businesses

Great work!
Picture: PWD crews cleaning crosswalks, curb ramps and widening roads.
With daytime operations winding down, our crews & contractors will be out tonight conducting large-scale snow removal across the city. Pics below from todayβs efforts clearing crosswalks, curb ramps & widening roads.
Overnight snow removal: 1,094 truck loads (18,150 cubic yards) hauled away to snow farms. Thank you to our relentless Public Works & City Services teams πͺ
Thank YOU @mayorwu.boston.gov! it's been impressive to watch the difference in the snow response by the city on this storm particularly around crosswalks & bus stops. And the communication you provide is so helpful β€οΈ
Would you be able to improve the @311.boston.gov responses as well? Tickets from
Eyes On the Street: Three Weeks After the Storm, Snow Woes Remain Across Greater Boston - mass.streetsblog.org/2026/02/20/e...
"We simply want bike lanes and bike paths that can be used when it stops snowing.
Nowhere in Boston will you find a street that becomes a dead end because of an enormous pile of snow, or intersections that become impassable because of the snow."

We need speed safety cameras NOW! Police say they're understaffed, and traffic enforcement seems to be a low priority for them.
"Everyone must be in high-viz all the time" is a great way to victim blame and shift the focus from dangerous drivers and poor infrastructure. Unfortunately it doesn't actually make anyone safer.
This is a fantastic analysis of a truly ridiculous proposal.
Yes, Massachusetts needs to legalize traffic enforcement cameras. The bills do an excellent job of addressing privacy concerns, the fees are low and go to the car not the driver, as it is license plate based
This law will save lives #AutomateSafeStreetsMass

Happy @wutrain.bsky.social congressional hearing smackdown day to all who celebrate. Per the Gregorian Calendar, celebrated each year on Ash Wednesday.
This is the second week in a row where I took matters into my own hands because Wu doesn't care about cyclists. I was only able to do a single block, so imagine what a mayor of a large city could do! @mass.streetsblog.org @universalhub.com @bikeboston.bsky.social
Huge mound of snow blocking the bike lane
Snowbank blocks the bike lane
End of the snowbank where you can start to bike safely again
Come on man
Here's the 311. What is it, 2 weeks after the storm now???

This article by @boston.com mentions this interview with @wutrain.bsky.social. I listened to it as well and she simply ignored the question. #BikesAreTransportation and we've been shut down for weeks while the city pretends we don't exist. We exist!

Your weekly reminder - motor vehicle operation where other humans are encountered automatically induces sociopathy on a massive, widespread scale. To combat this public health crisis, we must seek to make places where MV operation is the last-choice exception in each travel decision, not the norm.

Thank you Boston Cyclists Union! @bikeboston.bsky.social
Here in snowy Beantown drivers get into fistfights over "saved" parking spaces. Meanwhile cyclists join together to make their commutes safer because the city hasn't.
@wutrain.bsky.social lets work with volunteers to create groups like these each season. Every section of the city if you asked and allowed to organize and provided cleaning tools i guarantee you would have ppl wanting to lend a hand to clear things out.
