I truly wish more people would read science fiction and not just watch big-budget adaptations. SF authors have thought about the ethics of the creator vs. the (technological) creation / created ever since Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein.

Encouraging to see some members of the US Olympic team wearing masks to protect their health ahead of competition.
Today we honor Vivien Thomas, an African American who worked as a lab assistant because he couldn't afford medical school. He helped develop a life-saving surgical procedure for babies with a congenital heart defects. In 1976 he was awarded an honorary doctorate by Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
