Time to ditch "CFS" completely and push for more recognition of ME. All "CFS" has done is minimize a devastating disease and encourage mockery of those affected.

Agreed. HUGE pet peeve of mine. "Chronic fatigue" is usually a short-term issue that fully resolves when the cause is addressed. It is *not* an abbreviation or synonym for ME/CFS. Conflating the two is incredibly trivializing to pwME but it happens all the time. Even within the ME community.
A small parrot climbing the outside of his large cage.
My perfect little green parrot sitting on my belly.
My bird poking his face out from under a sheet of newspaper.
My bird, nestled into my open hand.
He was the sweetest, cuddliest, smartest little parrot with an infectious laugh and an endless appetite for our attention and company.
The most loved maroon-bellied conure eating a raspberry in a screened-in outdoor space.

Our baby in younger, healthier days (2019). We lost him suddenly on Friday and we are completely devastated. Our hearts are broken. I don't know how to live without my little partner.
Rest in peace, little buddy. We love you so, so much, and miss you more than words can describe.
I designed a pattern. Stitched. Revised. Stitched. Swore a bunch. Revised. Checked math. Revised. Finally made whole scarf. Wove in ends. Blocked carefully on foam mats. Unblocked. Folded neatly.
It's been weeks & I just don't want to take pics, write up, & post my pattern. Arguably the easy part.
Thanks! It's Hobbii Black Friday cotton cake yarn.

I do! My Ravelry link is in my bio. I've got a new scarf that will be posted soon, but probably not before Christmas.
Me too. ๐
Thank you! I love this one and it's probably the least popular of all my designs. I thought it'd be a winner.
I sell my patterns on Ravelry! The samples I make to photograph are slowly taking over our house. ๐คฃ
Thanks! I made enough so that my husband and I can each have half a dozen drinks on the go. Or, four each if you stop by. ;)
Beautiful work!
What if there's a need to read labels before selecting a product? Like if someone has an allergy, wants 100% cotton sheets, or needs sulfate-free shampoo? Is the associate going to follow them around as they read and compare? What if that someone rightly hates having staff hover? Bad for sales. ๐

I made Christmas coasters.
This is a must-read thread about the difference between POTS alone and POTS+PEM. If you're involved with patient care in any capacity, please take the time to read and understand this. Please stand up for patients who don't respond as expected to POTS treatments.
A very old conure, perched on a hand in front of a Christmas tree.
My little sidekick.
Thank you! I need to make one for my own tree. This one went to live with a friend.
Yes, 8y ME almost to the day. Learned to crochet when I could no longer run, lift weights, ski, swim, cycle, etc. Was extremely active & I still run in my dreams. Loved my job.
I'm sorry you're in the same boat.
Great list! I'd like to be added, please.
Thank you! It took months to do.
Hello! I'd like to be added, please.
Image of a round red crocheted object with textured bumps and ridges. There is a small hole in the middle intended for the trunk of a Christmas tree.
This was my very first pattern. It's a really squishy soft tree skirt. I called it Albatross because it was such a pain in the butt to get right.
A crocheted afghan draped over a chair by a window. The afghan features images of one male and one female junco bird, on a variegated background.
A pair of juncos. I think this afghan has potential, but I chose the wrong background colour. Maybe I'll try again on a deep blue or olive green.
Aww, thanks! I love making new designs (writing up patterns is another story ๐คฃ).
I name all my patterns after birds, but only a handful of them are actual images of birds. I'm working alphabetically and I've got designs in the works up to W. S, T and U will be ready to share soon, but none of those have birds.
I also learned after ME took away my athletic pursuits, and use it as a distraction. We used to feed birds, but we're taking a break due to bird flu concerns. We have a medically vulnerable geriatric pet bird, so we're trying to keep him safe.
A crocheted blanket in light and dark grey, depicting a raven's silhouette against the moon and stars.
Still here, still making things.
A green and blue blanket hanging outside on a railing during winter.
I made another thing.
Thanks! It took forever. ๐คฃ

I made a thing.
