The colourful Brambling is such a beautiful bird I just had to make one with my favourite media, wool and natural fibres. This was a challenging but fun bird to attempt 😊

Unbelievably I am getting close to finishing this piece now. This has been a labour of love with layer after layer of merino wool built up to create the picture. This WILL be done by the submission date for @southernnatureartexhibition 🤣 so it will be available for viewing and purchase in August

I was not completely happy with the background of my recent Fox. I felt the pale yellow washed the colour out so I have revisited, repainted and fiddled with him some more. Much happier with the green. Amazing how making such a simple change can completely alter how you feel about something 😊
