When America was great, the first time, taxes were higher, CEOs didn’t make 8-figure salaries-plus-bonuses, and child molesters lived in fear for their lives.
The government built massive projects making life better for citizens, NOT funding improbable fantasies for people who inherited fortunes!
If you don’t want to pay taxes, don’t take the money! Also, don’t use the freeway, turn on the lights, open a faucet, or use the toilet!
Taxpayers paid for those, and many other facts of life. Republikans didn’t make any of ‘em happen, either! They voted against most of those, and many other items.
The military-industrial complex built “bigger, flashier, more explosive” weapons, DESPITE VietNam, and our Revolutionary War, when ragtag insurgents defeated “bigger, better-trained, better-armed” armies!

In 240 years, we had 45 different Presidents (Joe Biden is #45), an average of 5y 4m per. Only 16 got re-elected, Lincoln and McKinley unable to finish their terms. Only Teddy Roosevelt and Hardy Truman re-elected to full terms of their own.
