Quote from attendee at training I delivered this morning - 'I've worked in health & social care for 30 years and never had training on older people being victims of sexual assault.' Why isn't this being talked about more?
This whole report is shocking & I applaud the women who have read details of such awful incidents to write it. With my 'carers' hat on, the number of women killed by sons, and the high instance of mental health concerns in those cases, needs urgent work with MH trusts and carer support orgs.
