Working on a guitar and had a super rare slip with the soldering iron. No panics, just a small spot on my middle finger caught so under a cold tap it went 😐

It is tougher, yeah. Fender have released a few runs of instruments in the last couple of years with several models but only a strat and maybe a tele in lefty

I'm still smarting from selling my Squier Classic Vibe Jazzmaster a couple of years ago so this new guitar is my substitute until I can get another Squier or even a Fender in future

This is the guitar I'm working on, the Hartwood Drifter. Switching a bunch of hardware to gold and upgrading the pickups as one is microphonic.

Jeez, removing a p90 forom one guitar in order to put it in another was way more hassle than expected. One stripped screw meant a lot of hassle with some pliers (I don't have a drill to work with and I wanted to avoid stray bits of metal attaching to the pickup poles)
Today is definitely a bad brain day. It happens, just gotta let it wash over and away...
