I wouldn't go that far. But I think there's less sex in mainstream art and entertainment now than there used to be. People are having a lot less sex too (apparently). And the rise of rightwing views in Western Culture marches in lockstep with Christian fundamentalism, so it may get worse.
What a game. If you've never played the final act with the little scouse kid Cuno as your partner, it's well worth going again to see just how much great stuff they wrote for something I imagine less than 5% of players ever get to see.

Love and Mercy was a good track, but all the Landy weirdness going on in the background gives the album a weird vibe for me.

I've always thought of them as more of a singles group (no shame in that) but The Circus and The Innocents are great albums in their own right. And the Abbaesque EP was sheer genius. The most fun I've ever seen arch-miserablist Vince Clarke having!
His performance as Visser in Blood Simple is an absolute benchmark.
The restaurant scene in Godfather is close to a number one. A masterclass in how to craft suspense, even Hitchcock could have learned a thing or two from it.
That is screaming out for a five minute job in Photoshop!
In fairness, younger me was lucky enough to grow up in a time when music was the dominant pop culture force, and there was incredible stuff coming out on a weekly basis. They'd probably tell older me to piss off.
Yeah, it's sort of a climb on the first part, then a drop on the second, but the melody seems to have a life of its own. It's one of my absolute favourites of theirs. And some way to open an album—you've barely gathered your jaw from the floor and it's over!
