Trump multiple times just today has said the country is at war. War can only be declared by Congress, and Iran posed no imminent threat. What Trump is doing there is a textbook illegal war and impeachable offense — if we still had a Congress.
The entirety of President Obama’s address at Rev. Jesse Jackson’s funeral is excellent and inspiring, as we would expect.
But I’d like to call attention to the first 1.2 minutes of this clip as I find it a perfect encapsulation of the actual state of the union:
