Finally, our breast cancer risk prediction paper has been published! Breast cancer screening tailored to a woman’s individual risk seems beneficial both for each woman and at the societal level — but only if we can measure that risk accurately. In this study, we used the BOADICEA breast cancer risk prediction model, which combines age, genetics, family history, lifestyle/hormonal factors, and mammographic density, and applied it to 50,000 Danish women. Overall, the predictions were well calibrated and provided valid risk estimates. Thank you to all coauthors for your great and valuable contributions.
