I’ve been getting really discouraged about AI and how it seems to be invading art and music, so I’ve gone backward 20 years to a time where all I did was go to pop punk and hardcore shows and Chicago’s scene was popping.
(In 2000 I was 16 😬)
In 2000-2002 I was Fall Out Boy adjacent; I ran in a crowd that sometimes overlapped with theirs. I saw them in church basements, I had their first EP in a cardboard sleeve, we were all in a McDonald’s together one time etc.
