Decided to make myself a jester outfit for the Renaissance Festival this weekend. Just need to make a pair of puffy shorts and it’s all done! I’m really loving this color combo. Pattern for the collar will be up on my Etsy soon!

Last time I checked, Minneapolis is no where near the Mexico border.

That black line you see is the border wall. It was an eerie moment standing on top of Coronado mountain in southern Arizona. There was no sound, not even a bird, just nothing. Seeing that wall stretch out forever in the distance.

Wow pintucks also seem like a lot of work! The first time I made this dress I was a baby sewer and all those panels legit helped me learn to sew straight.

I also made a sheath for Laios’s sword! To make the diamond shape I cut my foam pieces at an angle, glued them together and then shaped it with a dremel. I’ve never made a sheath like that before, but it turned out super sturdy.

The finished construction of Laios’s sword before painting. Most of it was made from high density EVA foam, pvc for the hilt and some foam clay. There is a metal rod running through the center to give it structure and stability.

I made my own mask using EVA foam. I’d like to make it again though and make the eyes bigger.
