DPN rather than magic loop. Chiagoo reds with one long, one short tip work too for me, up to a wrist circ. Any smaller is DPNs.

Start with small cables… 1/1 or 2/1… then grow from there. I do need the extra needle over 3/3.
In my knitting when I use them, but mostly I cable without the special needle
The only limitation is that finishing them is slower. I have one (or two) in most rooms, by my bed for early morning, a couple by the TV, and a simple one in the drawers in the study… plus a few extras. A total of 7-8.

I love it - made it when it came out. It is stunning BUT the body is a LOT of 2/2 ribbing and quite boring. Agree on a lot of ease.

#notonlycables is my motto. I love #cables - a #firstlove that I go back to. But I balance with #colorwork (Kaleidoscope is a wonderful pattern, so modern) and #construction (Drevo almost makes itself, it grows in your hands). And then my own, but more on that another time. #knitsky #knitting
