Though it remains hilarious that Leela is clearly respected in the tribe, and it appears to be a non-issue that she's a woman, she is also the only woman anywhere in evidence.

Just finished Face of Evil in my Doctor Who rewatch. Pretty sure I always list it among my favorites, but forgot how much I loved it. After the slog that was the Deadly Assassin it's eve more special. Knowing how unpleasant Mr Ego was to Louise Jameson makes her acting even more impressive.
Ending this operation is not enough.
We need justice and accountability. That starts with independent investigations into the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, economic restitution for businesses impacted, abolishing ICE, and the impeachment of Kristi Noem.
Rep. Delia Ramirez to DHS officials: "I have as much respect for you as I do for the last white men who put on masks to terrorize communities of color. I have no respect for the inheritors of the Klanhood and the slave patrol. Those activities were criminal and so are yours."
Under Secretary Kristi Noem, ICE agents murdered two Minnesotans in broad daylight. Her rogue agency is deporting children to detention centers with no due process. The cruelty under her watch is unconscionable.
Kristi Noem must go.
Minnesota has now been turned into a war zone by a federal government that has lost sight of the values that make America great.
We must impeach Kristi Noem and abolish ICE.
Abolish ICE.
Thereβs no reforming it.
Thereβs no compromise.
Thereβs only one way to rein in ICEβs terror campaign. Abolish it.
Guess which film I didnt buy a ticket to see this weekend?
watching Sarah Jane with 3 and watching Clara with 11 are so similar for me. 3 and Jo were perfection, 11 and the Ponds were perfection, then there's this terribly awkward transition, and then an era/ pairing that, who knew it could be this good?
Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.
Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.
"We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented."-Elie Wiesel
Did I miss this, or has it been more than 24 hours and the shooters have not been publicly identified? Do members of Congress know?
Finally on the Time Warrior, which is one of my favorites. Much as I loved Jo, Sarah (with 4) was my first companion, so it feels like coming home.
ICE just detained a 5-year-old child.
Donβt tell us this is about βthe worst of the worst.β Thatβs a lie.
Absolutely vile.
When facing hatred, Minnesotans respond with love. Thatβs who we are.
I don't listen to podcasts other than Hamster and Who C2C because so many of them just talk about how much they hate Jodie/Chibs constantly, so I think I miss a lot.
oops, 12 not 2 for a second time π. Also 6, but I have to say I hated the Lovecraft one, which by all indications I would have liked. (excellent idea, but as I recall pretty much no depth?)
So Jodie's era finally got me into Big Finish. I have all the 13th and Fugitive stuff I can get my hands on, but want more. There's so much though, how do I choose? I'm not a huge fan of Daleks or Cybermen, love 2,4,9,11,2,13. looking for individual story and podcast recommends. #Doctorwho
Still slogging through Katy's last season though (I've watched the Green Death multiple times and love it, even with all the shooting.)
Yes, I remember hearing that she said that and thinking, YES! I thought I had seen all of Pertwee, but I think I may have skipped some. I enjoy him and the companions, and even the Brig and UNIT staff, just somehow not UNIT so much. I do like most of the episodes that aren't set on Earth.
Finally listened to Ride or Die and loved it. Waited to listen to your podcast afterwards. I just love Katie's response on your podcast. She's right on and her enthusiasm warms my heart!
Walz: "What's happening in MN defies belief. News reports simply don't do justice to the level of chaos & disruption & trauma the federal govt is raining down... This long ago stopped being a matter of immigration enforcement. Instead, it's a campaign of organized brutality against the people of MN"
Sort of sad to say I'm getting bored with the Pertwee era. It has it's charms, but the military shoot 'em up themes and the swashbuckling James Bond thing are REALLY not why I got into Doctor Who, and while the charms of Liz and Jo and a bit of Delgado's Master have been highlights, it's a slog.
Have reached the 70s in my sequential Doctor Who rewatch. Developing a crush on Caroline John.
I just wish someone would be honest and say βwe are ending civilian science in favor of science that is focused on serving national security and warβ
ugh! I'm on ep 3, moving faster in hopes of getting past it. This is everything that would make me not a who fan if it wasn't for all the other stuff I love so much. simpering woman who can't intellectually grasp anything, that annoying dalek voice, war war war. ugh.
Dalek's Master Plan is one story where I maybe haven't even seen the episodes that are still intact. I'm not a huge Dalek fan. So it might take me a month to get through this one
Hitting the place in my Doctor Who watch-through where 17 of the next 20 episodes are not existent in their original form (I'm on episode 2 of the Myth Makers - hopefully all the missing episodes will turn up any day now) and it's feeling a bit daunting.
