Jeff and I started new thing where we are trying to finish these weβve started in the past but failed. Maybe because we are running out of time? The first one is making music on the Pokey and YM2149 . Mission accomplished.

Ditto. I totally understand.
What happened?
So.Many.Things.
Hi Jamie.
Hi Peter.
Hope you guys are well.
Iβm pretty sure there was no βplot to destroy rock and rollβ. That sounds like crazy-old-man talk.
Avowed is like the Reeseβs peanut butter cup (1970s version the gross modern ones) of RPGs, mixing western gameplay with lots of JRPG elements. Itβs like a very βtalkyβ DQ11 with better leveling and crafting
A story and video about VCF So. Cal. 2026.

For our next podcast we visited VCF So. Cal. 2026. I wanted to create "Pop Art Atari ST" for the thumbnail. I was just curious as to how AI might deliver this. As expected, it "looks very AI". (left) My hand-done version doesn't look AI (right) (to me). I'm going with mine. No. A.I.
Oh wow, of course I missed all that.
It was strange in the 2000s when the Dave Wakeling version of the beat became, pretty much, a local bar band.
However, Avowed feels rougher than tOW2. The map does not show the local region, most NPCs act like animatronic dolls, and the overall world feels a bit disjointed. I'm enjoying it, but also a bit sad that tOW2 will be the last in that series.
You would not be totally wrong if called "Avowed" "Pillars Of The Outer Worlds 2". There is lot of familiar lore from the PoE games and lot of the gameplay style of tOW2. There is new stuff in Avowed too: The "camp" reminded of Dragon Quest 11 while the weapon upgrades felt a bit like Diablo 3.
Yep!
$5.00 +300% reading glasses in every corner of the houseβ¦
Yeah. Thatβs us. Hopefully they will have a good gaming setup in the GenX retirement village.
I loved the PC version but I can see how console version could be fun too as long as you can control the text size
Started Avowed on the PS5, or should it be called βPillars Of The Outer Worldsβ ? I loved Pillars Of Eternity and Outer Worlds1/2, so
I think this is going to be fun. One issue so far: the conversation text it far too small for these old eyes..
In this episode we finish-up Atari Now! (for now) to make way for something new.

Yes βeveryone can build an app nowβ and when no is left who knows how they work can protect or debug them, they will all come crashing down when the inevitable AI malware hits
I think Bad Bunny got more yards carrying than all of the Patriots
January was the worst month for layoffs in Beatty 20 years and all these tone deaf AI companies can claim is even βless β work.
these AI ads are grotesque
My favorite single image from @obsidianent.bsky.social 's Outer Worlds 2: This folding chair set-up on cliff overlook so a (not present or now dead) NPC could look at the ocean view.
Finished @obsidianent.bsky.social βs Outer Worlds 2 in 72 hours by talking my way into everyone collaborating and / or surrendering . Itβs quite a good game but the last 1/4 is pretty difficult if you try make everyone get along.
No
One really interesting thing about Outer Worlds 2 from @obsidianent.bsky.social is that (nearly) every building has a restroom in a logical place and they donβt all look the same but also hardly ever factor into the story ( there is only one memorable moment in one I can recall)
Confession: I had no idea my parents were just kinda βwhinging itβ the whole time.
I thought I'd never have to say this, but:
"Free Don Lemon"
Confession: when Ian McCullough sang β do it clean (you know what I mean)β I did not, in fact, know what he meant.
Ha! One day if kids keeping coding with AI and never learn anything, people are gonna think this is true.
