Wanting to go 'down' a role from a Systems Engineer mainly because of responsibility and expectations. In tech, anymore, the respect that was almost never there before has turned to outright hatred basically by end users / clients and I'm just kinda over it : \
Been looking for a new job and man the tech job market is wild right now. Trying to go down a level back to Sr/Sysadmin and it's like either support desk/sysadmin role paying 50k, or full on systems engineer with 10+ years experience paying 160k+
There's like, no mid/standard level roles anymore!

2025 was easily the worst year of my life, and it only got that way like last weekend of July onwards. It's wild how quickly things can change.
Really hoping for a better 2026. Hoping for a different job, lots more mountain biking and to finally get into snow sports (if I can financially swing it)
