Was rewatching the uma movie with bridget and I was talking about both that and the dragon ball movie at the same time so it led to my fave exchange of;

This is a game that feels like it's constantly putting it's foot in it's mouth. The opening is terrible, what story is there sucks ass and it all takes place in an ugly boring city.
But the core mechanics are all so fun that I still enjoyed it a lot. It's an odd little thing.

This isn't even a legitimate complaint like I generally don't expect good plotting out of a Pokemon game they've always been better at just doing character stuff
But this one is like really bad even by the usual baseline, it takes after X/Y so we'll in that regard.
I cannot believe a game set in France has you fight a protest group to protect a CEO displacing people because "she has really good intentions tho"
And like I don't even think they're making a statement with that scene it's just that nobody was using a single braincell writing that, incredible.
Legends ZA is so funny I don't think I've ever seen a disparity between a cast this fun and charming and a plot I think is just kind of terrible
