Yoongi staunchly remembers Jungkook starting the competition. Okay, well, the truth is that he doesn’t remember exactly how the fight to become the best griller at the annual block party started, but he’s very certain that Jungkook started it because Jungkook is annoying and competitive and has apparently made it his mission to get under Yoongi’s skin more than anyone else ever has. This is the third year that Yoongi and Jungkook have been fighting over being crowned the best at grilling in their community. Yoongi is fairly certain that Taehyung is half a second away from making everyone at the block party vote just so that one of them can definitively be the winner and the loser will shut up. Namjoon says that the issue with this is the fact that Jungkook and Yoongi are both way too competitive and then it would have to be a competition that the entire neighborhood is acknowledging every year and Namjoon thinks that the best course of action is to ignore it until Jungkook and Yoongi stop bickering. Yoongi would stop bickering, but he knows that Jungkook never will. Or: Yoonkook are neighbors and single fathers who hide their attraction to one another behind a grilling rivalry.

He barely was able to look at me because he was all starry-eyed over Yoongi-hyung- Which, actually tell him is really rude I’m just as charming as hyung is- but I think that he might have come to our showcase at the end of last semester and you guys maybe hugged for a really long time after the show,” he says. “Okay,” Jimin says. “You want them to date?” Hoseok nods, looking pleased. He must really want them to date, Jimin thinks to himself. “So, wanna help me get them to fall in love?” Or: Jimin wants to avoid falling in love in college, but a plan to set Yoongi and Jungkook up puts him in close proximity with Jung Hoseok, who Jimin can’t seem to stop having feelings for.

Featured excerpt from "you could be my one and only": Jungkook feels nervous. He’s kind of met Seokjin and Namjoon before. And Seokjin doesn’t make him pay for most of his drinks and Jimin is in love with Namjoon, so Jungkook doesn’t think that they’re bad people or mean people or will hate him or leave him out of the conversation or anything like that. But, he still calls them both seonbae, neither has ever given him permission to call them hyung, so it’s not like he’s close to them. And Jimin has spoken of Hoseok as though he were an actual ray of sunshine (“Jungkook-ah, he might have actually been sent to us from Heaven.”), so Jungkook isn’t too scared of meeting him. But. Taehyung hadn’t seemed to like Jungkook much right off the bat. They’ve only technically met the one time at the cafe, but Jungkook has seen him around campus since then and Taehyung has not reacted too kindly to seeing him.
