Sure, theories can be cute on their own, but they should never be taken seriously. And the problem is that fandoms take everything in their hyperfixation seriously, which is inevitably a recipe for disaster every time a theory gets involved.
This is why I never liked fan theories of any media. Art is supposed to be subjective and these theories take away the concept of having your own interpretation of what you experienced with it. That’s how art can be special. It’s when they have a unique meaning to the individual.
