This is a really very lovely and magnificent thing indeed.
This is a really very lovely and magnificent thing indeed.
Seems I've upset one or two folks by posting this.
Good.
For the avoidance of any doubt, I totally and without hesitation agree with and support this, and I apologise for not putting that in the original post!
Oh, and I can confirm that the class 777 trains are most pleasant.
A sign with the background painted in the trans flag colours (horizontal blue, pink, white, pink and blue bands), with an IKEA BlahΓ₯j shark painted on the left and the words I BITE TERFS in bold black letters on the right. There are also two stickers, one with the words F*CK JK ROWLING and the other with the words TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS
Made it to Liverpool city centre. Having lunch in the wonderful Lovelocks cafe, which features this sign.
#TransRightsAreHumanRights
Heading into Liverpool city centre on a train today, which means that I will finally get to travel on a class 777.
Yes, I am probably much more excited than I should be about this.
(This shows how long it's been since the last time I used Merseyrail!)
Have you got this yet? It's the hosts of an ALF podcast rapping over I Could Be So Good For You and it's to help keep the lights on at @noiseboxradio.com. and if there's a nicher pop song than that I'll be very surprised.
Please repost for awareness.
Their eager little face never fails to make me smile!

We were saying this very thing only this morning!
Please tell Mel that I very much approve of his choice of phones for the video!
An Autobahn endorsement is the mark of quality as far as I'm concerned when it comes to matters Eurovisional
Obvuously I'm keen to hear @cqedinburgh.bsky.social's two penn'orth on this, seeing as she is the definitive "Eurovision guru".
Well, this is a rather fine thing indeed.
(Trying not to get too involved with Eurovision this year; alongside the obvious reason I get a bit overwhelmed with all the discourse.
But I do follow Sam on Patreon and YT, and any guy with easy access to a working Strowger exchange is alright with me)
Double GPO 706 action with some background 741s?
Amd a Mini too.
PHWOAR.
Hopefully the fact he's already got the following on the "socials" will help garner some public votes.
Yeah, I'm hoping the criticism (and having seen some of the teasers that Sam has dropped on his Youtube I expect there will be quite a fair bit, sadly) will still be polite and respectful.
(I have already threatened anyone making a "Look Mum No Points" joke with the severest of Paddington stares)
I'm singing this to the tune of the verses of "John Kettley Is A Weatherman
I see that my good friend @timbobaggins.bsky.social has contributed generously to this, but here's a couple more from me.
- What should you do if you see a spaceman?
- Park in it, man!
- What's red and invisible?
- No tomatoes

Excellent news from our local council. We already try to compost as much as we can but it's good we can finally deal with all food.
(and other changes mean we will FINALLY be able to recycle Tetra paks and food pots from now on - praise be!)
An absolutely magnificent evening of OQL'ing tonight - I genuinely love it when the outcome goes down to the final question of the match, and even more so if we get the win by a single point.
Followed by a friendly against fine opposition.
And currently 4th in the table with 3 games to go.
I mean, the guy plays about with old telephone exchanges when he's not twiddling knobs on synths!
Just give him 12 points already and be done with it!

Just getting a pre-emptive post of this in for Friday.
You will be Paddingtoned and tutted at in triplicate if you partake in this joke.
(Kit got me a subscription to Look Mum No Computer's Patreon for Valentines Day. He's a fascinating guy and I really want to visit his museum at some stage!)
Best quiz answer tonight:
"Who is the country of Bolivia named after?"
Answer: Bob Oliver.
Skipworth And Turner - Thinking About Your Love
SKIPJACK AND TUNA klaxon
I don't know what you could mean and no you can't look in my attic why do you ask?

Sad to see Richard go from this - I know he divides opinion a bit on here but Kit and I have always liked him, and he's been the perfect host for the show (it's something of a comfort watch for us) so finding a suitable successor will be tricky.
Really hoping to attend UKGE in Birmingham again this year, dependent on a couple of things though.
I celebrated last week the fact that F80s had been a big part of my life through the past 10 years and how it helped me get through some of my darkest days, as well as being responsible for some of the best friendships I've made in my life.
I honestly don't feel I can celebrate it now.
