IYKYK.
This movie is better than I remembered, but also, let's talk evangelical Christianity and modern computer animation, why not?
Kind of surprise there should be such a layup in the Elite Eight but here we are.
Another easy choice.
The Little Mermaid kicked off the second Golden Age of Disney Animation.
Petty sure Moana doesn't exist if The Little Mermaid paves the way.
Ariel breaks Moana's hook with ease.
Let me explain to you why Up is excellent long after the βMarried Lifeβ sequence is over, in podcast form!
Sorry, Little Mermaid.

The Little Mermaid gets my vote, no question. But these are both excellent films. What do you choose?
Today in the Elite Eight of the Walt Disney Animation Studios bracket, I can promise you that a film from Musker and Clements is moving on. I can also promise you one of their films is about to lose. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...
Well, the day has finally come for me to vote against Robin Williamsβ¦
Kristi Noem on her first day as Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas
Fantasia is my fave Disney movie so it should be in the final four! In fact, it should win. Period.
But between BATB and Aladdin, BATB wins every single damn time! I'm a Don Hahn girlie until the end of time
This one hurts. Aladdin is my favorite Disney animated film, but Beauty & the Beast is, I think, the "better" film. By a Cogsworth tick, I give it to BatB.
As a Disney Renaissance fanatic and 90s baby, this is just cruel
Yes, his tagline was "You're fired," but the whole premise of that tagline is, "I don't have a fucking clue how to hire people to do the work." (Which...has certainly been borne out over time.)
Thinking once again about how immensely odd it is that he revived his entire personality at the outset of the 21st century by being bad at hiring people.
Listen I know BATB is the better move, but Aladdin is my favorite of the 90s Renaissance
This is an easy choice.
Beauty and the Beast is the best animated movie of all time.
The Beast shreds Aladdin's rug with ease.
no matter which one you choose, howard ashman wins
Maybe it's tougher for you, though, because I am going with Beauty and the Beast, AKA the only Disney animated film to get the Best Picture Oscar nomination among a field of five.
What do you all think?
Fantasia is moving onto the Final Four of the Walt Disney Animation Studios bracket! Which 90s-era classic is going to move on today? Well, it's a tough one: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...
To be exceedingly clear: I know why Cars 2 exists. I promise. But 15 years later, it has aged so horrendously that I canβt help but marvel at it.
I don't even get that existential. There's a bit where Mater writes a sad note where he says he won't bother Lightning anymore, and all I can think is, "How did he write the note?"
"What do the people want? A movie where a loudmouth with an exaggerated Southern accent thinks wasabi is pistachio ice cream!"
Truly remarkable that, after two straight Best Picture nominees, Pixar went big on "wildly misreading the room" and released a Cars sequel that makes Larry the Cable Guy the lead character.
I literally got my ass whipped as a 5-year old over FANTASIA, so I'll never vote for that (plus, I can't stand that movie). This Grumpy is voting for Snow White. Vote for whatever your heart tells you!
No wrong answer, but this is the right answer.
This is where I finally leave SNOW WHITE behind. As much as itβs a cinematic landmark, I feel like FANTASIA is the culmination of Waltβs animated ambition.
Another tough vote featuring two all timers!
I went with Snow White since that's the one that started it all.
