Have you seen the commercial that brought down Kristi Noem?
Itโs even more bizarre than I expected.

Dangerous religious nuts who would destroy us all so that they would be closer to their imaginary god
Six US service members that were killed in the war against Iran, were returned to the US. Trump personally attended the transfer of the fallen soldiers. #Iran
Declaring "Mission Accomplished" - that always works out well for US Presidents
This is insane.
Blair is the last person who should be piping up.
Trump on if the deaths of U.S. service members made him rethink his war with Iran: No. The war will continue.
Maps show geography.
But the names on them often show history, power, and perspective.
Regardless of which term is used, itโs a reminder that names on our maps often reflect worldview of the people who drew them.
Language evolves โ sometimes geography does too.
Today, โMiddle Eastโ remains the most widely used term internationally.
But some scholars and organizations have begun using alternatives like SWANA (Southwest Asia and North Africa), which describe the region purely geographically.
The terminology reflected European perspective on geography โ describing regions in relation to Europe rather than how people living there traditionally identified their lands.
Over time, the labels became standard in diplomacy, academia & media.
In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, European strategists began dividing Asia into regions based on their distance from Europe.
They used three terms:
โข Near East
โข Middle East
โข Far East
๐งต Since we seem to love maps here, a small geography question:
Why do we call it the โMiddle Eastโ?
The answer actually says quite a lot about who originally drew the maps.
Trump on sending U.S. ground troops to Iran:
"Could there be? Possibly."
The fact that even Charlie Kirk was against war with Iran makes it clear just how extreme and unpopular the war with Iran is.
Donald Trump refuses to rule out deploying ground troops in Iran
White House blocks intelligence report warning of rising U.S. homeland terror threat linked to Iran war
Former president Mary Robinson called for solidarity to guard against โattacks on truthโ.
Addressing an International Womenโs Day rally in Belfast, she claimed the current United States administration is 'flooding the atmosphere with lies' jrnl.ie/6978188

Trump now has three options:
1) Retreat from Iran and lose the middle east forever, Israel destroyed
2) Put boots on the ground and lose thousands and thousands of U.S. troops
3) Bomb Iran with nukes and risk global destruction
Nice going you stupid MAGAts
Trump Is Risking a Global Stagflation Crisis With His Iran War
The effect on oil and gas could be much, much larger than he thinks. And that shock will be passed on to every sector of the economy.
Leaked documents (including a database) reveal that hundreds of signs, exhibits, films, and other materials were flagged for review under a Trump administration order.
Every bit of this is delusional.
WATCH โ @katiecouric.bsky.social : โSome ๐บ๐ธ military commanders have described whatโs happening in Iran as a โHoly Warโ, part of Godโs divine plan, with references to Biblical prophecy, that Trump has been anointed to cause Armageddon and mark Jesusโ return to Earth.โ
JUST NOW: โIt was done by Iran.โ๐ค
Despite NYT analysis that a ๐บ๐ธ bomb killed those Iranian school girls, Trump insists Iran did it. (Hegseth hesitated to agree)
Color us unconvinced.

I'm very much against historical whataboutery but if the historically illiterate Trump wants to play that game I've got my fucking tennis shorts on
The United Kingdom, our once Great Ally, maybe the Greatest of them all, is finally giving serious thought to sending two aircraft carriers to the Middle East. That's OK, Prime Minister Starmer, we don't need them any longer -- But we will remember. We don't need people that join Wars after we've already won! President DONALD J. TRUMP
History lesson.
Our once great ally didn't come to our aid until 1917.
Our once great ally didn't come to our aid again until 1941.
Ben Habib has said: "Restore Britain have gone full tilt racist and we'll continue"
Lowe calls this "a very serious allegation" but statements of his senior staff + the policy of no boundaries to most overt racists, antisemites + Nazis being party members make it difficult for him to challenge it
Tommy Robinson, who is currently with Advance, would like to support Restore, but he is concerned about Restore Britain's policy + philosophy on race + and their embrace of champions of 'total remigration'!
