Musing about the international situation we are living right now I can’t help but think that the current condition of the USA is best described by the line “You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain”.
Ok, here I am after watching it. Fire and Ash is the most intense cinematic experience I’ve had since 2019. Jim did it again for me. The story might rhyme with the previous entries in the franchise but I do care so much about the family that I have been on the edge of my seat throughout the movie.

Still reading Livio & Szostak #book, “Is Earth Exceptional?” and I feel a little uncomfortable with the idea of “warm, little ponds” exposed to cycles of evaporation/dilution. I mean, stromatolites are 3.5 Ga old, while continents appeared much later. Where on land were those “ponds” located?
