Its interesting because I feel J Cole has never known how to own that he went and graduated from college as if thats not what was always pushed on us to do. And him having a white mom is almost never brought up. Its very weird for him to bring it up unprovoked.

Thats because starting a family really early as a personality trait is not and has never been a good idea. Having kids and getting married are big things and doing it young just to feel accepted will always backfire in some way.
