This comes after the team declined Donald Trump's invitation to attend the State of the Union.

this scene gives me chills each time I watch it. Casablanca was a contemporary film: it was set in 1941 and released in 1942. They were celebrating neighbors and compatriots across the globe. It'd be like releasing a film next year about what's happening in Minnesota

I still wouldn't recognize a Bad Bunny song if it walked in and sat on the couch, but as huge production numbers go that was unusually beautiful. Shoutout to weddings and taco carts and house parties and old men playing dominoes.

A social media post from the Department of Homeland Security showing a cowboy on horseback in front of mountains with a drone or stealth bomber overhead with the words "We'll have our home again" and the URL join.ice.gov. What is the meaning of this image? Evan Gorelick, one of our writers here on The Morning, can tell you:
Last week, I called the Department of Homeland Security to ask about an ICE recruitment ad that said, โWEโLL HAVE OUR HOME AGAIN.โ Thatโs also the name of a song embraced by some white supremacists. I was reporting a story about government accounts that have pointed to neo-Nazi literature, ethnic cleansing and QAnon conspiracies. A spokeswoman, Tricia McLaughlin, told me that it would be โmorally repugnantโ if the Homeland Security post were quoting the white-supremacist anthem. But, she said, it was unrelated: โThere are plenty of references to those words in books and poems.โ Yet when I opened the post on Instagram, it played audio from the songโs chorus. When I pointed this out, McLaughlin said I was participating in a left-wing conspiracy theory and โmainstreaming racismโ by drawing a false connection. Less than 40 minutes later, the post had been erased. To some people, these messages sound patriotic. But those well-versed in the language of right-wing extremism hear klaxons. Read more about the posts in my latest story.
This white supremacist administration in a nutshell.
