A letter headed "Brexit letter correction" that appeared in the Yorkshire Evening Post on 16 February 2026. Jas Olak, Vice Chair of Leeds for Europe, explains that a letter that the newspaper attributed to her was not written by her. In fact, it took a view regarding Brexit that was the opposite of her own. The paper acknowledges the error at the bottom of the letter.

The second letter criticises previous correspondents who make negative claims about the EU but fail to include any supporting evidence.
