Today’s tip: It’s perfectly OK to look up Tarot card meanings in the book. Everyone starts that way. In time it’ll come together for you. Over time some cards may talk to you with different meanings; if that works for you it’s good.

You are so right. I've lead rituals from 5 to 500 & more & in both cases you need to keep people engaged with the ritual energy. Of course I could tell some horror stories of public rituals where the facilitators seemed to be doing everything possible to shut the participants out!
It came to TikTok via a TV show. But the issue isn't whether it's traditional, the issue is whether it is strong, clear, and effective. Spells where you are actively doing something have more oomph that spells where you are sitting and watching something. And then there's the fire hazard thing.
With my own layout I usually read reversals for the first few cards and then upright after that. I read reversals as something blocking the energy of the upright card. In some cases, that's good. But I have often told clients that their homework is to turn that card rightside up.
Indeed. That spell is a fire hazard!
I am sure there are people who make it work, but that doesn't mean it's efficient. Cut the danged cord and get it over with!
I'd never seen the candle thing until the last few years.
It's more efficient and effective to mop my floor than clean it bit by bit with paper towels. But maybe you learned to do it bit by bit with paper towels so you prefer that. But the mop is still more universally effective whether you like it or not.
Today's unpopular opinion: Cord cutting should involve the active use of a sharp tool to cut an actual cord. Watching and waiting for a candle to burn a cord is passive.
There are many ways to do things but some things are more effective than others.

That's always the question, isn't it. Make what you have a need for. There's no extra credit given for excess. There's always going to be another moon, even another eclipse. Such waters are nice to have but not mandatory.

I don't know anything about my ancestors farther back than my grandparents, except that my paternal great grandfather was a farmer. But because my grandfather was so intentionally vague about it, not even sure where. Somewhere in eastern Europe.
Today’s tip: Ancestor reverence doesn’t mean you revere
everything and anything an ancestor did. Just acknowledge that without that chain of ancestors, you would not exist. Could be producing you is the best thing any of them ever did. Say thanks for that.
