I wouldn’t say that it’s too many, cuz if you love to do it, good for you! But I would definitely say that you are incredibly lucky to be able to do so! I consider myself lucky that I got to three last year, and lucky to see two this year. It’s more of a different perspective.

I have just now realized that I barely started playing Pokemon Shield (just loaded it up). Literally my only Pokemon is Scorbunny. No wonder I have no real memory of it besides the starter I chose 🤣 Excuse me while I correct this (and I played Violet into the ground 🤣)
The fact that it took as long as it did for me to choose a grass starter pokemon really says something about how I felt about most grass starters and their designs 🤣 I thought about going Rowlet tho, but Popplio… couldn’t resist that dude. That gen was lit with their starters. All three were A+
Here we go! These were the starters I chose in each gen (some games I never finished playing tho), and I ended up liking Squirtle better than Bulbasaur back in the day, but, meh, 7 year old me chose what I chose 🤣
The way I choose starter Pokemon is probably different than most people. Most people I assume probably pick by type… I pick by whichever one I think is cutest.
