Got another 4ish hours done on these yesterday. Hit them with a 70/30 blue/black light oil wash at the end to recess shade and saturate the skin. Still lots to do but if I only had 12 hours I'd be fine with putting these on the table at this point! 🐦

My weekend project is painting the new Tzeentch Spearhead in 24 total work hours. So far I've got most basecoats done and rudimentary basing. 18.5hrs left, so plenty of time to shade, highlight, and refine! 🐦

Work in progress photography of the Neko Galaxy "BladeZero" miniature bust I'm currently painting. In my painted take on the bust she's wearing a blue undershirt, a purple bolero, white hair, pale skin with black makeup as well as gree reticule shaped pupils on black eyeballs. There's also a small detail of Cyberpunk2077-inspired cyberware on the back of the nose and the metal details are painted in a very warm, orange-reading, non metal metallic, except for the knife, which is painted to look like sharp shiny steel. The holsters strapped on by plack belts, as well as the elbow pads are painted to resemble very worn out red leather, some of areas of them also being hit by the bright neon green object source light. The Pistols are painted in a bright steel with black leather details. The figure depicted is a kind of futuristic assassin, posed in an attack-motion with one of its two daggers. It is sold by Neko Galaxy.

It is heavily altered to better fit the monthly GitGud miniature painting challenge for january, which I entered this piece in. To visualize the challenges topic of 'Entropy' I sawed the assembled bust into many pieces and reassembled them with pins and superglue in a way that shows it breaking apart. The paintjob is done with caucasian skin, red hair, white fur and purple-blue dress, the violin has some red veins in the wood structure and there's four details that are entirely painted in gold TMM paint. The backdrop is different polygonal shapes made out of plasticard and painted in different colors and textures.

"What do we do in the face of the inevitable?"

That is the question I wanted this piece to pose, after researching 'Entropy', which was the theme for the monthly challenge in January, run by the GitGud community. (go check them out!)
