There’s been a lot of (in my view risky) laughter at Spurs by #lufc this week, but it has just occurred to me that at this point it is still technically possible for us to win the FA Cup, Spurs win the Champions League, Forest win the Europe Cup…and all of us get relegated.

Which would be epic.

Like others have said, I assume it is to give the “on the brink of the first team” guys a chance to fight for a place, without risk.

Mind you, playing a disjointed team doesn’t really give you a clear idea of their skills, so I imagine it can be demoralising for players.

There wasn’t a suggestion, hyperbolic or otherwise, that there was literal violence in the BAFTAs incidents.
