Not the actor from Star Wars, Dr Who, or The Tweenies - asking me trivia on any of these risks fabricated replies. Open to exchanging opinions on Leeds, music, politics, Age of Sail navy, and vague memories of the 20th century.

Of the remaining seven other teams in the FA Cup, only two have beaten us this season. #lufc

โ€˜Leeds eraโ€™: How one English city's name became a buzzword in Korea Buzzwords come and go in Korea after a few years. But one has stood the test of time -- “Leeds era,” which is read as “lijeu sijeo

It is one of the most deranged things our club has given the world, and absolutely true. We are fucking awesome.

Laugh, but donโ€™t forget that โ€œIn my Leeds United daysโ€ became a Korean expression for โ€œbefore things turned to shitโ€, without many Koreans knowing what Leeds even is.

Itโ€™s quite possible that the phrase โ€œbeing Spursyโ€ could move โ€˜beyond footballโ€™ in the same way.

Thatโ€ฆis magnificent!

The excellent (and barely-noticed) โ€œCowardsโ€ had a sketch with a man in a video library asking for a film in very much the same mannerโ€ฆyour life is comedy (although apparently written by Tim Key & Tom Basden, so yโ€™know, quality).

No. Bowieโ€™s death was another symptom of things going to shit - it started two weeks earlier.

โ€œNo ideaโ€? The guy that just seized the country with the worldโ€™s largest oil reserves and then smashed the competing production centre?

He knows *exactly* what heโ€™s doing.

It would be the stuff of legend.

Obviously nobody will remember us being beaten by Southampton in the final and getting relegated.

Thereโ€™s been a lot of (in my view risky) laughter at Spurs by #lufc this week, but it has just occurred to me that at this point it is still technically possible for us to win the FA Cup, Spurs win the Champions League, Forest win the Europe Cupโ€ฆand all of us get relegated.

Which would be epic.

Like others have said, I assume it is to give the โ€œon the brink of the first teamโ€ guys a chance to fight for a place, without risk.

Mind you, playing a disjointed team doesnโ€™t really give you a clear idea of their skills, so I imagine it can be demoralising for players.

There wasnโ€™t a suggestion, hyperbolic or otherwise, that there was literal violence in the BAFTAs incidents.

The point was that black peopleโ€™s reaction to negativity (up to and including violence) is judged by a different standard than white people.

Not remotely my thing, but having lived in Edinburgh when Scotland beat England to do the Grand Slam in 1990, I would love them to win it. There was singing coming from the pub under our flat for 48hours solid; we got bought drinks simply for being English.

I forced myself to be calm about arriving at the airport about an hour before take off (already checked-in, no luggage, express security booked). Cabbie picked me up and asked when takeoff was then replied โ€œYouโ€™re cutting it a bit fine arenโ€™t you?โ€

Bastard.

Whether because of the admonition from his subordinate or not, Jervis did not carry out his threat.

โ€œFemale Tarsโ€ by Suzanne J Stark is very worth reading, and has a whole chapter about Mary Lacy, whose autobiography โ€œThe Female Shipwrightโ€ tells of her time as a RN sailor and then shipwrights.
