well, i gotta pick a genre on Itch LOL. which is really more of a marketing question that a scholarly design one

I think the distinction of how heavy the puzzle solving & exploration is makes a big difference! my game is much more like the latter

also i haven’t played Hooked, I’ll have to check that out!

the more i’ve discussed this the more blurry the lines seems to me. but i agree, the images don’t really drive my game which makes it seem not like a VN to me

are narrative games that take place on simulated phones/ social media point-and-click adventure games or visual novels??? i think they’re point-and-clicks but all of my friends say VN
