This is an urgent moment.

*Someone denied care in South Carolina can still get an abortion.
*Travel, lodging, and procedure costs don’t become insurmountable barriers.
Right now, we are preparing for an influx of callers who will need financial support, logistical coordination, and real-time help as the political landscape shifts again. We cannot do that without immediate resources.
None of that stops abortion—it just makes it harder and more expensive.
PSAF exists to make sure people are not left alone in that moment.
That’s where Palmetto State Abortion Fund comes in.
When politicians escalate attacks on abortion, our phones ring more. Costs go up. People are forced to travel farther, miss more work, arrange childcare, and navigate the ever increasing legal and medical chaos.
They are openly calling on the General Assembly to pass this bill immediately. They are framing it as urgent. And they are counting on the fact that people who need abortions—and the organizations that support them—will be overwhelmed, under-resourced, and unable to respond.
The goal is clear: to eliminate abortion access in South Carolina entirely.
Next Tuesday, January 13, South Carolina lawmakers will hold a press conference announcing what they are calling “sweeping and historic” abortion legislation. Their words, not ours:
