Spring is coming to Sheffield!
We run classes year-round, but spotting spring flowers does make the days a bit brighter.

Training isn't just about running...
In preparation for his Hadrian's Wall Challenge, Connor has been incorporating strength and endurance training, as well as regular yoga, to build his resilience.

Connor's training for Connor & Edwards's Hadrian's Wall Challenge, 1-13 February 167.7km run 31 hours 16 minutes Like running from London to Birmingham. An average of 2 hours 24 minutes per day. In the cold, in the rain. No excuses. Every effort for the cause.
It's not the kind of weather anyone wants to be outside in right now. But Connor doesn't have a choice - he needs to get his training in!

An image from the Ben & Jerry's campaign featuring a cow and the text: Migration has dropped, but what's the real story?
Another from the campaign: The far-right is far-wrong. Thousands of migrant health workers propped up our NHS through Covid. Sounds suspiciously like they're not the real enemy.
Migration is a win for the UK: we need migrants for our public services and the economy. So what's the deal with all the hate?
We're serving: hope. We can't rest while the government disguises inhumanity as positive change. One of the best ways to arm ourselves? Know the facts...
We like this campaign by Ben & Jerry's - and not just because it talks about hope!

A graphic reading "Refugee isn't a dirty word."
Certain parts of the media and government would like you to stop thinking of refugees and those seeking asylum as people. But that's all they are - people, looking to escape violence and persecution.
A photo of a wallet with two £20 notes and two £10 notes sticking out of it. This amount of money would cover our costs for supplying a term of English language classes to a refugee in South Yorkshire.
We're a small charity, and with money tight all round, it feels like a lot to ask for your support.
But if you are able to, know that your money goes a long way. £60 pays for one learner to attend a whole term of English classes with us. To paraphrase a big supermarket, every donation helps.
Our "IT guy", Connor, is going to run the entire length of Hadrian's Wall to raise money for us.
Well, partly run. Some of it will be walking. Or crawling. Whatever it takes.
If you sponsored him, it'd help him keep going... www.justgiving.com/campaign/had...
