I didn’t know about that! I just checked and no, there hasn’t been one for decades. Rhubarb is becoming more popular again though, I think. Or maybe trendy, like kale!
Bought at Wakefield rhubarb festival from Oldroyd’s - the very best rhubarb (and one of the best Yorkshire names!).
Can I have two? First the rhythmic clunk of the tilt hammer in the steelworks, heard in the distance as I lay in bed. Second, dad’s piano playing, the first thing he did when he got in from work. He was a gifted player.
