Prism (NSDI'21) was great to bypass L7 proxy with TCP connection migration, but hard to deploy as it needs a programmable switch. XO (NSDI'26) removes this barrier and is applicable to real apps, nginx and Ceph!

Never used Avanti so I will be cautious when I use it...
It gets worse when you've bought the ticket from the 3rd party as the QR code requires for refund just disappears on the app. I lived too long in Germany so I still feel British trains are amazing..
I think the link to the talk list is unreachable.
If you haven't heard, wake for Dave Farber online in about six hours, and funeral in about 22 hours. You can join by following instructions at

No idea why I make the same mistake again. freebsd-update sucks.
it was at least announced to the authors.
The election was announced just around a week ago and we can vote just over 5 days, poor Japan.
Yes, they always ask too much.
Grant rejection..
This is probably every Japanese wanted in UK! Maitame mushrooms have been only a part of mushroom mix, but we wanted just this one!
Some people say UK is not very child friendly, but I feel UK is when travelling back from France (Nice).
We're exploring how to move on from TLS/TCP in datacenters - check out our Oaklandโ26 paper* about encrypted message-based transport and NDSSโ26 paper* about low latency, post quantum mTLS handshake! Congrats @tianyigao.net for ANRP!

First time ever I feel I need sunglasses in Glasgow.
Forty years ago, 21 people gathered for the first meeting of what became the IETF. Today, nearly 8000 IETF participants from around the world collaborate in more than 100 working groups and every day billions of people use technologies developed in the IETF. https://www.ietf.org/blog/ietf-40/
That's horrible.. Actually I skip many talks and instead spend in the hallway to talk to the people, but I imagine such confs also have an empty hallway..
Absolutely true, but it is unavoidable to submit to conferences just as the pub venue for the career of many..
Great initiative of NDSS making paper presentations *officially* optional. For many people, having to think about visa, cost and childcare attached to travel every time submitting a paper is too much pain.
OMG in another authentic place I saw the one with only anchovies/tomato/oregano and I liked it, and I felt mozzarella kill each other's taste. But perhaps my tongue was not authentic.
I am super happy with a new pizzeria in a good location to me, even the best one in Edinburgh IMO. But they put mozzarella on anchovy/oregano pizza. It should be wrong..
first frozen pond this winter #inverleithpond
exactly.. The trader did experiment and figure out the safe queue length aka watermark in the bathtub!
Something like that. Traders are super responsible so I am happy.
Free ones here or in Germany or Bergium are like that AFAIK.
Bathroom water leak just after renovation. It turned out the new bath can stress the main drain more because the old one did "rate-limiting" with a clogged waste pipe.
Yes, usually they open on bank holidays, and Xmas and 1-2 Jan are exception.
Planning a festive period lunch/dinner is tricky as butchers/fishmongers are not well stocked on 23-24th, supermarkets are closed on 25th, and nursery is closed until 28th๐ฑ
