Benchmarking Cantilever Torque Magnetometry as a Platform for Characterizing Molecular Qubits: A Case Study on Ni(II) Complexes Precise and experimentally accessible determination of the electronic structure of transition metal complexes remains a challenge in the development of molecular qubits, particularly for leading candi...

Thermal- and light-induced valence tautomerism with a concerted spin transition in an iron tris(diimine) complex The switching phenomena of spin crossover (SCO) and valence tautomerism (VT) are respectively dominated by iron(ii) and cobalt-dioxolene systems. To explore new possibilities for SCO or VT, the redox-...

Excited to share another paper from my PhD - out in Chemical Science!
First time valence tautomerism has occurred with a spin-state change in an iron complex. This allowed us to show light-induced valence tautomerism is possible for non-cobalt-dioxolene complexes.๐Ÿ’Ž๐Ÿงฒโš—๏ธ

I think the best advice for giving better talks is to stop trying to impress everybody and just have....fun? Talks are so much more interesting when you get a glimpse of a speaker's real personality along with the story.

Want to give a good scientific talk? TELL A GOOD STORY. donโ€™t show the audience every result, donโ€™t give us one slide on every paper youโ€™ve ever published. If I want to read your resume, I will. Teach me something, tell me a story.
