Hi everyone. Tensions are high with SCREAM 7 releasing this week but I think itβd be great - if youβre able - to donate to the Palestine Childrenβs Relief Fund. If youβre boycotting, donate what you would have paid for a ticket. If youβre seeing the movie, match your ticket price
Wait, this isnβt a 1 or a 5 star review. How am I supposed to know if I agree or Iβm outraged before readingβ¦
He was doing what many have been saying white men should be doing. He went outside to observe, he documented, he put his body on the line to protect another person and for this he was murdered by the gatekeepers of the fascist regime.
Just saw the Alex Pretti footage. Utterly terrifying. Thank you to everyone who still has the courage to film these monsters.
LA folks around Burbank: ICE is out and about in NoHo today, particularly at Home Depot on Sherman Way and near Burbank Blvd and Vineland. Be careful.
#AKnightOfTheSevenKingdoms is wonderful, with a lighter tone thatβs almost intoxicating. Itβs still Westeros, itβs still a cruel world, but there are nearly as many kind lovable heroes as total jerks, and Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell are TERRIFIC. Loved loved loved it.
My power has been out for 4 hours. Dangerously close to resorting to cannibalism. Also Merry Christmas.
I hope you all like WAKE UP DEAD MAN. Itβs a film thatβs full of warmth and lovely empathy. Iβve been an atheist my entire life but even I can feel the film just bursting with love for the positive power God can have in peopleβs lives.
Itβs such a strange thing, because if you independently pitched me βRian Johnson creates a show about a wandering detective who always knows when someoneβs lying, and it stars Peter Dinklage!β Iβd be SO excited. But so much of Charlie is Lyonne and her whole vibe.
Oh no all the people with βAmerica Firstβ and βWestern civilization enjoyerβ in their Twitter bios are saying yesterdayβs event means theyβre no longer politically moderate π
This makes me sad because that Regal was the last remnant of the Arclight, I loved those seats :(

Studying so I can recognize the signs
Kevin Spacey is a terrible human being but heβs still the best movie Lex Luthor
Iβd be wary of wanting a less faithful adaptation considering many of your issues with the season - namely your frustration with Ellieβs goal - stem from Mazinβs changes to the game.
Iβm here!
BRING HER BACK is devastating and Sally Hawkins gives one of the great performances in all of horror.
Yeahhhhh. I like the show a lot but this is a case where I think faithfulness to the game bites them. The POV change works A LOT better when you're immediately tossed into Abby's shoes, not as a cliffhanger where you have to wait two years.
Poker Face remains absolutely DELIGHTFUL. Just my favorite thing in the world.
UNTIL DAWN is a lot of gory fun and I thought the connections to the game were very cool.
I loved it but wish theyβd taken an extra year and released one 13/14 episode season instead of two 7 episode seasons two years apart
But itβs a great season of TV that keeps its focus right where it should be: on the people. The writingβs sharper, the directionβs tighter, Bellaβs even better than the first season, and you can bet your butt that when Pedro Pascal cries, the audience cries.
Qualms? Yeah, a few. The WLF/Seraphite conflict is always on the fringes and I think new viewers may be frustrated by the lack of context and information being saved for Season 3. I also wish Ellie was on her own more often, sheβs most compelling when completely alone.
The Last of Us Part II is known for being dark, even oppressive, but Craig Mazin somehow finds ways to make every notable sequence more brutal. Think youβre prepared because youβve played the game? Youβre not - especially during a horrific scene late in the season finale.
The expanded scope allows Season 2 to add depth to a number of characters - Dina and Seth (!) get compelling new scenes, and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac - even though he doesnβt have much screen time - gets much more to chew on than he did in the game. Canβt wait to see more of him.
THE LAST OF US Season 2, like the game itβs based on, is more painful and significantly more ambitious. Most impressive is Bella Ramsey as Ellie, who hides the characterβs pain and rage behind a mask of normalcy while around others. When the mask slips, sheβs terrifying.
Not to jinx it but you should be fine, weβre a long ways away from the HBO Go days of not being able to handle sudden traffic
Somehow you folks did not oversell THE STUDIO. Just laughed for a solid five minutes when we got to the punchline of the Scorsese scene.
The other place is lovely this time of year
