Requiring REAL IDs and passports and birth certificates to vote?!?

This video, better than stills, illustrates just how many people marched in Boston yesterday.
City hall plaza, filled from the JFK federal building, stretching across Cambridge St and all the way down Tremont St to Boylston.

Yesterday, we sent a historically big message to Trump, Musk, and the GOP — and we also sent a signal to all those who agree with us but have spent the last few months feeling shaken, hopeless, and afraid. #handsoff

There was a lot of #AcademicFreedom, good scholarship, and independent thought in German universities before Hitler. After Hitler had risen to power, many academics fled the country. Some resisted the Nazi regime and were persecuted. Most adapted to a new situation. Here are some examples. 1/n

Considering how widespread chronic absenteeism is right now, why don't more school leaders identify it as a top problem? My colleague @jillbarshay.bsky.social explains why absenteeism can be genuinely hard to identify: hechingerreport.org/proof-points... #edusky

Today is an important day
A decisive legal victory for climate scientist Dr. Michael Mann in a defamation case that lasted a decade. Dr. Mann was awarded over $1,000,000 in damages.
The truth mattered today.

It’s a unique state among New England, but not like what such a headline would suggest. With one of the largest legislative bodies in the world, including 400 representatives, and a system where any one can put forth legislation, the radical fringe sometimes make headlines, but it will never happen

Yours is a beaut as well. Properly groomed… now. We tend to let her go until we can’t stay ahead of the matting and then get her in. They’re such great dogs.

A woman with a red vest sits on a slab of granite looking out over a landscape of wooded, low rolling hills with two small lakes in view. A golden doodle wearing a sweater stands by her side looking back at you, the viewer.

Yes, thank you. I always try to start from a place of inquiry: “What were you feeling when you said this? What was your intent?” And then, “Here is what I (or if I have heard from the student - what they) heard and felt.” (Of course, this is a basic script - often more nuanced and specific.)

Yes, agreed on both points. The feedback must be shared, and it can definitely be done in a supportive way with a positive outcome. An element of this is that this particular team of teachers reinforce themselves in being this way with kids. So it is part of a larger work in progress.

Good stuff! My staple is the same, following James Morton’s recipe, from his Brilliant Bread book. We fell in love with him after seeing him on the British Bake Off.
