A must read.
Caregiving is deeply meaningful but can feel incredibly lonely.
Friends drift and exhaustion sets in. If you know a caregiver, reach outβyour support matters. No one should walk this path alone. #CaregiverSupport #YouAreNotAlone #dementia #Alzheimers
Love isnβt just about memoriesβitβs about presence, patience, & heart. Even when dementia changes life, a bond remains.
On this Valentineβs Day, we celebrate the love that endures beyond words & memoriesβa love that can span decades & adapt to this great loss.

Dementia is cruel and does not care about your past, your achievements, or your skin.
To beat it we must understand it.
To understand it we must study it.
To study it we must be patient.
To be patient we must have faith.
Repost if you agree.

Dementia Caregiving Tip: Keep a βYes, andβ¦β mindset. Instead of correcting a loved oneβs confusion, go with their reality and gently guide the conversation. It reduces stress for both of you and keeps the bond strong. #DementiaCare #Caregiving #alzheimers
π wow.
Maybe they just wanted to make sure that the diagnosis was accurate? Maybe they were trying to funnel Medicare payments to the neurologist?
I know there are virtual support groups out there that only require signing up and logging in to the virtual meet. Maybe try to find a virtual group.
Caregiver support groups a can be extremely helpful to caregivers.
Has anyone found good virtual support groups they would recommend? If so, please add to comments.
Thanks!
π Dementia caregiving is toughβbut you donβt have to do it alone.

Lori, FYI, there is an additional 40% OFF coupon for people who sign up on the research participation registry. Itβs just signing up to learn more if a study becomes available, itβs not an actual study.
Airtags are actually fairly thin.
Good question. The soles are a bit thick and have a hole for the AirTag. You canβt really feel it. I weigh 200+ lbs and if I stand on my heel hard then I can feel it, but just walking is no big deal. My mother has never complained.
Yes!
Sailor's Syndrome?
Maybe dementia should be called the Sailor's Syndrome because of how it can take a life-long kind person and turn them into a foul-mouth sailor. π¦
Dementia and Alzheimer's are more than memory. Cognition, insight, and executive functioning all decline. π§ #caregivers
Thanks Sarah!
We now sell AirTag-compatible insoles to help monitor your loved oneβs locationβcomfortable and easy to install. I made these available after my mom wandered off several times; now, she has a set for both pairs of shoes. Please repost to spread awareness!

Could CBD/THC help agitation in dementia?
π§ Studies show low-dose CBD/THC combo (<10 mg THC) reduces agitation in people with dementia. β οΈ Excessive THC causes discomfort/illness. Not med advice.

π¨Letβs get some advice for our caregivers and families.
What is the best book(s) you have read about dementia or Alzheimerβs (lowering risk, caregiving, general, etc)? π
Thanks for contributing! Weβll have to check it out!
Thanks for sharing that information, I suspect a lot of people didnβt know.
Younger people donβt understand.
The average total healthcare spending in the last 5 years of life was $287,038 in patients with dementia. This is about $58,000 per year. This is a tremendous burden on American families. βΉοΈ
