after spreading the screening over four days, yesterday I have finished watching “Evolution of a Filipino Family”, a slow, hypnagogic 10 hr long epic about Filipinos under the authoritarian rule of Ferdinand Marcos. was it all worth it? no.
just finished watching the OG Nosferatu from 1922. awesome. i'm a fan of depictions of tall skinny freaks in culture because i can relate to them. haven't seen the new version yet, but it can't be better, right?
really enjoyed the new Wallace & Gromit film. it can't compete for the best of the series but proves that it's the best animated family franchise. sometimes we need a reminder that some old jokes don't actually ever get old
