It’s the NDP that delivered dental care. It’s the NDP that brought in pharmacare. And it’s the NDP that is fighting to ensure every Canadian has access to a family physician by 2030. Band-aid fixes won’t do — we need action rooted in care and justice.
For over a decade, Liberal governments have stood by while ERs closed, family doctors became harder to find, and people were forced to choose between paying rent and filling a prescription.
In my work serving patients across Toronto Centre whether that be in shelters or the clinic in Regent Park — I’ve seen firsthand how our healthcare system is failing. Not because we lack the tools or the talent, but because political will has been missing.
On this International Public Health Day, I’m proud to stand with the only party truly fighting for your health — the NDP. As a family physician, environmentalist, and your MP candidate for Toronto Centre, I know that health is political. #TorCen
