We have great news for our farmers and land owners in the Cotswolds! We can confirm that the Defra Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) programme has been extended by one year, until March 2026, in the Cotswolds National Landscape.

The Cotswold escarpment runs the length of the western edge of the Cotswolds, and is a visible reminder of a key feature of the Cotswolds – Jurassic limestone.

🌼This limestone has influenced how people settled and worked here - and is why we have precious limestone wildflower grassland habitats!

💡The Cotswolds National Landscape stretches from Warwickshire and Worcestershire in the north, to Wiltshire and Bath in the south.
It has the highest population of any Protected Landscape at over 150,000 residents and is surrounded by large urban populations!
