i would like to invite white people in the ffxiv fandom to stop speaking about racial issues with authority unless it is to apologize for taking up so much space and/or doing so much harm. if you've got the impulse to get up on a soapbox, maybe channel that energy into amplifying actual black voices

only time i've ever been threatened with physical assault was in the xiv community, people here need to check their grudges. parasocial behavior isn't just being a fan, it's hating to an unhealthy degree as well.
