I believe the STI rates are so high because HIV/AIDS is so highly stigmatized. Ever told someone you wanted to use protection & they get real offensive and say they’re clean? If protecting yourself wasn’t so shameful, safer sex would be more acceptable. Those STI rates would be much lower.

The black church was more outraged about a First Lady’s dress than a racist with Tourette’s calling two black men a racial slur. I could be wrong but I haven’t seen much of anything.

As blk people, we’re always expected to stay professional or hold it together in the face of racism and disrespect. Giving that man grace & understanding for his disability is a slap in the face to the Michael & Delroy. Tourette’s aside, that man is racist.

Another hot take: Being healthy and fit doesn’t require you to be in the gym every day. If you have to be in the gym more than 3 times a week then I believe you have an addiction and it feeds your ego. I think some people are addicted to the attention they get from having a “gym body.”

I hate when I hear overly religious people say things like “if you can get up and go to work everyday, why can’t you do the same for church?” First off, work pays my bills. If I don’t get up and go to work, I can’t afford to live. Church ain’t paying the bills. These ppl are sick.
