@emily4mk.bsky.social @ofcom.bsky.social Perhaps the Prime Minister shouldnβt be so quick to accept that X is making compliance efforts when this abusive deepfake factory is VERY MUCH still running.

The comparisons here are accessibility (this Grok feature is built into a social platform for sharing posts) and safeguards. Having tested Gemini, ChatGPT, and other popular models, it is considerably harder to get such pornographic results with such simple, obvious prompts.
I have tested again just now to be sure, as it was still allowing this yesterday, but yes - I am able to edit images of other people, uploaded by other users, into lingerie using a free account. X and Grok make no attempt to block me.
This change only applied to edits where you tag Grok in a reply, such as "@grok put her in a bikini." You can still edit any photo for free on X by using the "edit image" option (button on website, long-press on apps) or just use the Grok app and website directly.
We didn't post the resulting edits for obvious reasons, but there was no need to bypass whatever safeguards X has added to Grok. If you're not blocking prompts like "show me her cleavage" or "make her breasts bigger" then are you ACTUALLY trying? And yes - it still stuck me in a bikini and lingerie.
We're now seeing headlines that claim X is blocking Grok from complying with requests to undress and sexualize women. Wrong again gang β it happily stripped me, gave me bigger breasts, and put me in pornographic poses, entirely for free. All I had to do was ask.

You may have seen reports swimming around claiming that X finally restricted the Grok deepfake/undressing features behind a paid subscription.
That simply isn't true. Not even close. www.theverge.com/news/859309/...
