There are a lot of us who have been making the same points for months; what we get in response is that we need a younger candidate who espouses progressive values. Younger, yes. Progressive? We have no real evidence of that & some to the contrary.

I may agree with your perspective on K-12 literacy, but they have little to do with what I was pointing out from the article.
Supposing you knew what the article was about without reading it is counterintuitive for someone with your background.

It would have been far preferable for Jackson to run for Collins' seat and give Platner time gain some experience in the Maine Legislature.
Ranked Choice Voting would have helped the GOP situation, but that's too woke for Texas.
“Trashing” is an odd word choice.
